An impactful evening of Shakespeare with Henry

Junior Players was excited to bring the first ever youth focused Shakespeare in Prison program to Texas in 2023 – making Dallas home to a groundbreaking new program as recognized by being selected as a TACA Pop-Up Grant recipient.
Embarking on a collaborative journey, Junior Players and The Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center will continue to join hands to empower incarcerated youth. Together, we paired young individuals with professional Junior Players' teaching artists. Through this partnership, they delved into the rich tapestry of Shakespearean works, culminating in captivating performances of excerpts from 'Henry V.'
Now, with the success of our initial endeavor, we eagerly anticipate the next chapter. Our sights are set on the stirring tragedy of 'Macbeth,' slated for the summer/fall of 2024.
