Shunia Taylor, Program Director
Shunia Taylor is a proud Dallas native who brings a strong background in programming and community service. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, specializing in Public Relations, from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master’s degree in Education from Prairie View A&M University. With 17 years of experience as a Program Manager for the second largest school district Dallas ISD’s Extended Learning Opportunities Department, she led the development of dynamic district-wide enrichment programs that enhanced student engagement and contributed to their academic success. During her tenure she worked very closely with Junior Players providing partnership opportunities.
Shunia is an advocate for community involvement. She enjoys providing support and resources to both seniors and youth. She is a dedicated board member of The Chase Taylor Hopkins Foundation, active volunteer at the African American Museum, Co-Founder of Excel Learning Center in DeSoto, and PAC Vice President at Bishop Dunne Catholic School. Outside of her professional and volunteer efforts, she enjoys spending time with her incredible son Chase, immersing herself in the arts, theater, music of all genres, traveling, and exploring fine dining.
